BHISS
Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service (BHISS) is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who work with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families through schools and other educational settings. BHISS is an important part of Brighton & Hove’s Local Offer for children and young people with SEND.
Each school or setting is linked to named BHISS professionals including an Educational Psychologist and specialists from Social, Emotional and Mental Health and Learning and Communication areas. These identified staff form the basis of the team around the school/setting. This encourages continuity and consistency of professional relationships and ensures BHISS professionals are aware of the broader context of each school and setting.
