Sussex Coast Schools Alliance

During the summer term, a number of our Alliance schools opened their doors to colleagues from across the city and beyond.  These visits have had a range of themes including:

• Phonics & Early Reading
• Inclusion
• Curriculum
• Approaches to Behaviour

The visits have been a valuable opportunity to see good practice, share ideas and look at other schools inspiring learning environments,

Colleagues with a range of expertise and roles have benefitted and we plan to expand the programme next year.

Sussex Coast Teaching School Alliance will change to Sussex Coast Schools Alliance (SCSA) from September 2021.  

We will continue to work with our 41 Alliance Schools to further develop teachers, support succession planning and promote evidence informed practice.

We will continue to work with our partners at Durrington Research School and organisations across Sussex.

We will also be working with UCL Institute of Education to deliver the Early Career Framework and the new National Professional Qualifications.
