Sussex Coast Schools Alliance

This course is a practical introduction to the Makaton Language Programme and is designed to support schools with a selection of signs and symbols that will enhance whole class teaching, interventions and small groups.    The course will give an overview into the role of Makaton in improving the communication skills of all children and strategies to support the inclusion of children with additional needs and communication difficulties.  This training is suitable for teachers and support staff.

The course will be led by Astrella Chapman, Deputy Head at St Martin’s CE Primary School and Makaton Regional Tutor.
