School to School Support (SStS)

We will support other schools by offering a comprehensive range of tailored support.

Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE):
Our SLEs are expert practitioners in Early Years, SEND, leadership, English and Maths. They are all trained in facilitation and coaching and can be used in many ways delivering school to school support.
An SLE can complete learning walks with school leaders and other colleagues, support work scrutiny identifying areas for development, lead workshops, training or provide bespoke guidance working alongside individuals.
Local Leaders of Education (LLE):
Our LLEs are experienced Headteachers who have received training in supporting development and improvement of other schools. They often work alongside NLEs and will complete reviews across the school and offer more bespoke work for leadership teams.
National Leaders of Education (NLE):
Our NLEs are experienced Headteachers who have worked extensively leading more than one school with a track record of excellent school improvement.
An NLE can support with workforce planning and all areas of school improvement. They work alongside senior leadership teams to ensure development in teaching and learning and may sometimes use LLEs or SLEs to support them in this work.
They can lead pupil premium reviews or reviews of all other areas. All reviews are completed with action plans.

As well as our support team, colleagues across the Alliance are taking part in a School Partnership Programme evaluated by the Education Endowment Foundation which enables colleagues to be fully trained in supporting and challenging other schools.
